networking class

Interested in working in the exciting field of computer networking? Learn networking strategies, communications protocol, implementation, installation, configuration and troubleshooting of computer networks at Brookhaven College. We offer a variety of networking courses in three of today’s most widely used technologies: Microsoft Windows, UNIX and Cisco. For more specific information about any one of the networking options, click on the associated title or link.

Microsoft Windows

Brookhaven College is a certified Microsoft® IT Academy, offering credit courses that prepare you for the MCSE, MCDBA and MCSD exams. Why pay expensive fees at a private training institute when you can take the same courses at Brookhaven College for less?

Upon completion of your coursework, you will be ready to take the Microsoft certification exams (not included in the course). Brookhaven College offers an associate’s degree or a certificate in Microsoft networking.

  • qualified instructors
  • Microsoft training materials
  • well-equipped labs
  • college credit for courses
  • reasonable community college tuition

UNIX

UNIX, in its many flavors, is making more and more inroads into the corporate data center for client-server networks. UNIX knowledge is beneficial for system administrators, database administrators, network administrators and even developers. At Brookhaven College, we offer beginning and advanced courses in UNIX in our Sun Solaris lab. You can even take these courses online and log into our lab using Telnet. You can earn an associate’s degree or a certificate in UNIX at Brookhaven College.

Cisco

Brookhaven College also offers some courses in Cisco networks and routers. These courses are the first step toward preparing yourself for the Cisco Certified Network Administrator exams.
