ComputersVIDEO GAME MAKING ONLINE, AGES 11-17This instructor-facilitated online course will teach how to design and modify your own exciting arcade-style video games. You will learn how to control characters, objects and outcomes in your game, then increase the difficulty level and add more features. Learn how to design your own version of Pac Man and several other games. You will participate in this class at home using your own computer, or, in a school computer lab.
ANIMATION USING FLASH, PC, AGES 11-17Step up your computer skills by learning to use Flash to create vector-based animations with built-in interactivity. In this course students will be introduced to the drawing and color tools; motion and shape tweening; action scripting and animation basics; symbols and instances; text, sound and video manipulation, and publishing and exporting.
CREATING COMIC GRAPHICS USING ILLUSTRATOR, MAC, AGES 11-17You can learn to use this illustration tool to create your own graphics for comics. Adobe Illustrator gives you the ability to create, color and transform objects. The program lets users blend shapes and colors, layer and order objects and even add 3-D effects. The class offers you the chance to learn to use all the flexibility and power of Illustrator to bring your ideas to life.
CREATING WEB PAGES USING DREAMWEAVER, PC, AGES 11-17Do you want to learn to be a master of the Web? Get started with Dreamweaver. You can learn to create and modify pages to fit your own style. From tables to templates, you can build in styles, links and images and upload your Web site to test. You will even try out the HTML built-in editor to inspect the code and add your own HTML, insert Flash and Shockwave movies.
DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY USING PHOTOSHOP, MAC, AGES 11-17You will learn what digital photography is and how photography evolved to this exciting new level. You will have an opportunity to really learn about the different features available on digital cameras and find out what to look for both inside and outside the camera.
IMOVIE, FOR THE MACINTOSH, AGES 11-17iMovie is the fastest and easiest way to turn home movies into dazzling Hollywood-style hits. iMovie comes complete with a sound studio built in. You will learn to use these cinematic tools to create major effects and riveting performances.
CookingJUNIOR CHEF, AGES 11 - 17Cooking can be fun for children of all ages. By experimenting with a variety of foods, students will discover how to prepare healthy meals, snacks and even desserts! Students also will enjoy using their own creativity to put together a recipe book.
First Aid and CPRCPR FOR TEENS, AGES 13 - 17This is the perfect class for teens learning CPR for the first time. We also welcome scouts, babysitters and other youth organizations. Teens will learn risk factors for heart disease, warning signs for heart attack and stroke, adult CPR, and 911 protocols. This class also will include child and infant CPR and first aid for choking with a strong emphasis on injury prevention. We will cover the basics of first aid for wound care, bleeding, shock, allergic reactions and more.

PIANO FUN! LEVEL TWO, AGES 4-7A continuation of Level One, children start playing songs such as "Hot Cross Buns," "Yankee Doodle," "Bingo," and "Mary Had a Little Lamb." We introduce singing using the Solfege system and we use the system for all our songs and melodic patterns. We introduce music notation to play all songs. A variety of musical games and activities continue to develop correct technique and ear training preparing the child for private lessons. We also will appeal to the emerging writer in each student by covering topics like poetic forms, editing drafts and submitting for publication. Each session will include a supportive and encouraging opportunity for the students to share what they have written in the same format used in college creative writing programs around the world.

Navigation to Middle SchoolNAVIGATION CAMP, AGES 10-13Gain the confidence and skills to master the challenges and changes of middle school with confidence. During this workshop, you will learn how to manage the pressures of middle school including conflict management. Over the week, you will examine how to use body language, communicate with teachers and deal with your transition to being a teenager.
Musikgarten For ChildrenMUSIKGARTEN SUMMER CAMP: TWIST AND TURN, NEWBORNS - 5 YEARSDiscover the delight of classic nursery rhymes re-imagined with music and movement in "Twist and Turn." Drawing upon childhood themes, children are invited to twist and turn with "Oliver Twist, You Can’t Do This" and many others! Toddler movers and shakers are kept active, while three to five-year-olds are encouraged to learn language skills and use their imaginations in fun new ways. Mothers and babies enjoy the rhythms of the words and music while bonding. Each session is 45 minutes and a caregiver must attend with child. We invite you to repeat this class throughout the summer as often as you desire. New activities and songs will be introduced with each summer month. Supplies: Required Musikgarten package, which includes a lively Musikgarten CD, Parent Activity book, and a pair of grooved rhythm sticks. MUSIKGARTEN SUMMER CAMP: AT THE SEASHORE, AGES 4 - 6Explore the dazzling place where the ocean meets the land in this delightful summertime adventure. Encounter creatures of the sea—whales, pelicans and turtles—and have fun exploring how sea animals move and what sounds they make. Discover shells and boats, and dance and leap with the waves. Activities include singing, moving, making music and pre-keyboard activities. There will be story times about the amazing seashore; an instrument to make and take home; and simple nature crafts and art activities. Introduction to the flute, viola and harp will include sounds and pictures. Parents or other caregivers as well as siblings may join for the last 10 minutes of class. Supplies: Required Musikgarten package, which includes Musikgarten CD, an 11” x 17” full-color sea picture, with cut-out animals, and Parent Activity book. ScienceGEOSCIENCE MANIA, AGES 11-13Is geology more than dirt or rocks? What are your spatial coordinates? Have fun developing and challenging your geoscience IQ. Try your hand at high-tech treasure hunting with geo-caching, using global positioning systems, geospatial information systems and orienteering. A field trip on Friday concludes this week of fun and learning.
MAD SCIENCE, AGES 10 - 13Join us on a mission through the amazing world of science where students will use experiments to create their own slime, build a magical crystal garden, learn how light bulbs work and much more.
Theater and ActingTHEATER CAMP, AGES 8 - 12Your instructor will guide you through the creation, production and performance of an original play. Through a variety of theater and improvisational games, you will create a character of your own choice. You will enjoy learning theatrical techniques and terminology, while parents will be happy that you are also learning techniques to expand problem solving skills and cooperation. The class will collaborate on the development and performance of an original play sure to delight audiences of family and friends. Costuming, props and scenery pieces are limited, so you will need to be creative.
