You can learn fundamental golf skills along with understanding the courtesies, rules of etiquette and safety to make the game more enjoyable. Whether you are a beginner or intermediate player this course is for you. Supplies: Students will provide their own golf clubs, balls, tees and equipment bag.
Sports Nutrition CertificationAn often-overlooked aspect of training is nutrition. It includes having the correct meals, timing nutrients and balancing the quantity of foods to be ingested for a peak workout routine. In order to perform at optimum level, all the necessary nutrients must be present for the athlete. The goal of sports nutrition is to understand the proper nutrients, what they do, and how they work from a sports perspective. This course can be taken as a stand-alone certification or in conjunction with the Personal Trainer exam. It is suggested the student already possess a fitness-related background. SPORTS NUTRITION CERTIFICATION • Eligible for Financial AidThis course provides a guided framework for properly "fueling" athletes from the fitness enthusiast to the well-trained professional. A breakdown of the six classes of nutrients will be reviewed and discussed emphasizing fats, water, carbohydrates and protein. Students will study the importance of optimizing calories, their contents and in proper rations as related to a training regime. Successful students will be able to complete the National Federation of Professional Trainer exam for certification as a Nutritional Specialist. Supplies: Manual provided
